My name is TJ Linzy. I write about homeschooling and I teach what I call “Old School Social Studies” for kids. My wife and I have homeschooled our kids and our homeschool community’s kids.
First of all, I am an American and I am proud of my country. If that offends you, you can save yourself some triggering and move along.
I created Polyhistorious to give parents an alternative to much of the politically motivated propaganda that passes for history, geography, civics, economics, and American culture. I do not sugarcoat our history, heritage, or responsibilities, but I do not apologize for them either. I believe we are blessed to live in the greatest nation the world has yet produced. We also welcome others who want to join us legally in our efforts. We learn from the truth and we work together to learn about the past to make a better future for our kids and our country.
Kids want, and need, real social studies. History. Civics. Geography. Economics. They just want it taught with some passion and some fun. That’s what I do. Learning about their country, their heritage, their responsibilities as a citizen, and where they sit in the world is fundamental to kids becoming good citizens… and good people.
